Bermuda Updates Travel Guidelines to Ensure Safety & Convenience for Vaccinated Visitor
Today, Bermuda announced new travel guidelines that will streamline and enhance the overall process for visiting the island. Taking effect April 1, 2022, the revised guidelines have been created to guarantee that a vacation in Bermuda will be safe and convenient for all vaccinated travelers.
“Bermuda is ready to welcome all vaccinated travelers for an unforgettable vacation, this spring, summer, and beyond,” said Charles H. Jeffers II, Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) CEO. “Thanks to our new guidelines, the island is easier than ever to visit — and we can’t wait to show off this beautiful part of the world, whether it’s your first time here or your 10th. While we are still exercising the utmost caution, this is great news for the island’s ongoing recovery.”
Bermuda’s new guidelines require that all visitors will have to show a negative COVID-19 test (both antigen or PCR tests are allowed) within 48 hours of travel to the island. However, no further testing will be required once you arrive on island, leaving travelers free to explore the island at their leisure. Additionally, rapid tests will be available at Bermuda’s L.F Wade International Airport for all travelers heading back to countries that require it.
Throughout the pandemic, Bermuda’s approach to safety has been largely successful. The Bermuda Government’s stringent border protocols over the past two years, including quarantine for unvaccinated travelers and a frequent testing regime, have been proven to be an effective component of the island’s strategy and ongoing recovery. Meanwhile, The Bermuda Hotel Association (BHA) is committed to protecting hotel guests, staff and the island community. BHA member hotels encourage staff to be vaccinated, and those who are not fully immunised are tested weekly.
