Bermudian Musicians to Invigorate Nightlife this Summer
Bermudian entertainers are a central focus of this year’s line-up of summer activities for visitors. The recently released Uncover Bermuda (summer 2018) brochure features a more robust list of Bermudian musicians than in years past.
PinkSand Entertainment, Goslings and the Bermuda Tourism Authority will team up next month to launch a new weekly series called Made in Bermuda Nights. Every Thursday, beginning July 5th, the Wall Street Band will headline a rotating schedule of Bermudian performers on White’s Island in Hamilton Harbour. Water shuttle service from #1 Dock in Hamilton and an open bar on the island are included in the $40 ticket price. Performances run from 9pm to midnight.
“The Bermuda Tourism Authority’s partnership with PinkSand Entertainment is one of the reasons our team was able to infuse more live local entertainment into the visitor nightlife experience this summer,” said Pat Phillip-Fairn, chief product and experiences development officer at the Bermuda Tourism Authority. “A local music scene is something our visitors definitely want from their experience out here, particularly at outdoor venues.
“We’re now recruiting local restaurants to entice visitors with early evening, Bermuda-inspired menus that allow travellers to join us for Bermudian entertainment after dinner. Made in Bermuda Nights will be an excellent way to fully immerse visitors in the island’s culture – enjoying local food and music alongside local people.”
Additionally, PinkSand is newly attached to Destination Dockyard , also beginning next month. The entertainment company will manage a schedule of musicians and performers to add a new dynamism every Monday night on the North Lawn in Dockyard, beginning July 16th.
“PinkSand Entertainment was founded with a focus on using local entertainment to develop unique experiences for locals and visitors alike,” said CEO Jonathan Tankard. “These events are certain to be some of the summer’s hottest tickets. We look forward to invigorating summer events in partnership with the Bermuda Tourism Authority and WEDCO.”
The Uncover Bermuda brochure also points visitors to other places to find live local entertainment including Hamilton Harbour Nights and #BermudaSummerFriday happy hours at Sea Breeze, Newstead, The Dock, Hamilton Princess and other places around the island.
Beyond live entertainment, Uncover Bermuda is a comprehensive list of what to do in Bermuda during the day and night for adults and families with young children. It’s available for download online at GoToBermuda.com.
