Hurricane Paulette Update
Bermuda re-opened for business today (Tuesday, September 15), one day after Hurricane Paulette passed directly over the island, bringing high winds and heavy rainfall, but no serious injuries or major damage.
LF WADE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
LF Wade International Airport reopened at noon, Tuesday, September 15. Travellers should contact their airline for updates and rebooking options.
ACCOMMODATIONS
There are no reports of structural damage at any of the currently operating hotels. Please check with your accommodation about rebooking and cancellation policies.
ON-ISLAND TRANSPORTATION
St George's Causeway, the main road serving the airport, reopened Monday night and local bus and ferry service will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16.
COVID-19 TRAVELLER TESTING
- Perot Post Office COVID-19 testing centre reopened Tuesday in the City of Hamilton.
- The Traveller Authorisation Process for all visitors continues as normal.
- Travellers who need to re-schedule testing due to the storm should have received emails from the Ministry of Health for rebooking appointments. Contact the COVID-19 Call Centre if you did not receive an email appointment: open 9 am–9 pm daily at 441/444-2498.
VISITOR SERVICES CENTRES
The Hamilton Visitor Services Centre on Front Street, Hamilton, reopens Wednesday, September 16, 10 am–2 pm daily; the Dockyard Visitor Services Centre is open Saturday and Sunday, 10 am–3 pm.
BERMUDA GOVERNMENT OFFICE CLOSURES
All Bermuda Government buildings reopen Wednesday.
