BUEI's Black Film Experience

Celebrate Black History Month with BUEI's Black Film Experience, featuring a range of films by emerging black directors, actors and screen writers. The experience begins with One Love on Bob Marley's 80th birthday and continues throughout the month!

Join us on Thursday, February 6th for an inside look at the life, family and legacy of Bob Marley, featuring rare footage and interviews with those close to him. A journey from his early life to later international success as a reggae superstar and spokesperson.

Rock & Roll with the Summer of Soul on Saturday, February 8th. Over the course of six weeks during the summer of 1969, thousands of people attend the Harlem Cultural Festival to celebrate Black history, culture, music, and fashion.

Close out the month with a screening of Exhibiting Forgiveness on Wednesday, February 26 - A Black artist on the path to success is derailed by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, a recovering addict desperate to reconcile. Together, they struggle and learn that forgetting might be a greater challenge than forgiving.
